In a tragic incident in Bisham tehsil of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Shangla district, a convoy carrying Chinese nationals fell victim to a devastating attack, resulting in the loss of five Chinese lives along with one Pakistani individual, as reported by the regional police authorities.

According to Mohammad Ali Gandapur, the regional police chief, the convoy, comprising Chinese engineers en route from Islamabad to their camp in Dasu was targeted by a suicide bomber who detonated an explosives-laden vehicle.

The devastating aftermath claimed the lives of five Chinese nationals and their Pakistani driver. Gandapur further stated that immediate relief operations were initiated by provincial police teams who swiftly reached the scene. Despite the harrowing attack, the remaining members of the convoy were successfully safeguarded from harm.

Confirming the grim toll, Bisham SHO Bakht Zahir reiterated the loss of six lives, with five being Chinese engineers and one Pakistani national.
