Four Palestinian journalists have been nominated for the 2024 Nobel Peace Prize for their brave reporting during Israel’s war on Gaza. The nominees are Motaz Azaiza, a photojournalist; Hind Khoudary, a TV reporter; Bisan Owda, a journalist and activist; and Wael Al-Dahdouh, a veteran reporter.
Their work has given the world important insights into the ongoing crisis in Gaza. Azaiza, who became well-known for capturing the daily struggles of Palestinians during the war, shared his nomination on social media and expressed hope for peace in Palestine.
According to the Palestinian Health Ministry, the ongoing conflict has resulted in over 40,405 Palestinian deaths and 93,356 injuries.

The Norwegian Nobel Committee has received 285 nominations for the 2024 Nobel Peace Prize, including 196 individuals and 89 organizations, highlighting efforts for peace in places like Gaza and Ukraine.
The Nobel Peace Prize winner will be announced on October 11, with the award ceremony set for December 10, continuing the tradition of honoring those who fight for peace and human rights.
