Ghotki Artist Spots ‘Lost’ Work in Kabhi Mai Kabhi Tum Drama, Alleges Misuse

Source: 24 News HD

Ghotki-based artist Seffy Soomro was shocked to find his long-lost artwork featured in an episode of the TV drama Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum. He had originally sent the paintings to Karachi’s Frere Hall for an exhibition in 2017. Despite multiple requests for their return, Frere Hall claimed the pieces were “lost.” In a surprising twist, Soomro recognized his artwork during a scene in episode 17 at the 22:30 mark.

Outraged, Soomro took to social media to accuse Frere Hall of misappropriation. He revealed that these paintings were part of his thesis for the University of Sindh’s Fine Arts Department, underscoring their personal and academic significance. In response, the show’s production company, Big Bang Entertainment, stated they had rented the venue and its assets, suggesting Soomro pursue the issue with the venue owners.
