Supermodel Gigi Hadid made headlines last week when she was arrested and subsequently fined $1,000 by the Customs & Border Control agents in the Cayman Islands. The incident occurred upon her arrival at Owen Roberts International Airport for a girls’ trip on July 10.

According to reports from local outlet Cayman Marl Road, CBC agents discovered marijuana and drug paraphernalia in her luggage after scanning and conducting a manual search. The quantities found were relatively small and appeared to be for personal consumption.
Following the discovery, the authorities took swift action, resulting in her temporary detainment and subsequent release after paying the fine. Despite the setback, Gigi Hadid’s management team has not released any official statements regarding the incident.
