Government Approves 3-Day Public Holiday In Celebration Of Eid-Ul-Adha 2023

The government has officially sanctioned a three-day holiday in celebration of Eid ul Adha, set to be observed on June 29, according to a statement released by the Cabinet Division.

The announcement came after the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee confirmed the sighting of the Zil Hajj moon in Pakistan, indicating that Eid ul Adha will be celebrated nationwide on June 29, Thursday.

The decision was made during a meeting of the moon sighting committee chaired by Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad. Testimonies regarding moon sightings were collected from various cities, including Karachi, Lahore, and others, as reported by the chairman of the Ruet-e-Hilal committee.
