Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori addressed the situation of Pakistani students stranded in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, during a press conference held in Karachi recently.
Governor Tessori acknowledged the difficulties faced by the students over the past three days. He referred to them as “our children” and emphasized the urgency of their situation, currently preventing their return to Pakistan.
The Governor highlighted that the parents of these students have been reaching out to his office, expressing their anxieties and requesting assistance. In response, Governor Tessori assured them that the government is actively working towards a solution.
He announced that Sindh will provide free air tickets to facilitate the safe return of all stranded students from the province. Additionally, he declared his willingness to travel to Bishkek himself if the situation doesn’t improve promptly.

The grave situation unfolded after reports of foreign students being attacked by local mobs started circulating on social media earlier this week. Since then, the Pakistani government has managed to evacuate a huge number of students stuck in Bishkek.
