The International Cricket Council (ICC) has given its approval to Pakistan’s preparations for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, scheduled to take place from February 19 to March 9, 2025, in Karachi, Lahore, and Rawalpindi. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief Mohsin Naqvi presented a detailed report on the progress of renovations and infrastructure upgrades at the three venues during a recent meeting in Dubai.
Naqvi urged the ICC to visit Pakistan and personally review the preparations to further build confidence for the successful hosting of the tournament. The PCB has allocated Rs12.80 billion to enhance Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, the National Bank Cricket Arena in Karachi, and Rawalpindi International Cricket Stadium.
A five-member ICC delegation recently visited Pakistan to assess the stadiums, inspect training facilities, and meet with hotel management to discuss accommodations for the teams. They also reviewed security arrangements for the event.
