Reports suggest that the upcoming cricket tournaments, the 2024 T20 World Cup and the 2025 Champions Trophy, may undergo significant changes in their planned host countries.
From Pakistan to West Indies
Initially scheduled to be held in West Indies and the USA, the T20 World Cup might now be moved to Scotland and Ireland. On the other hand, Pakistan, the original host for the 2025 Champions Trophy, could see a shift in the tournament to the Caribbean.
These proposed changes are being considered by the International Cricket Council (ICC) and are still in the early stages of discussion. The ICC is exploring the possibility of compensating the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) monetarily for this alteration. Furthermore, the broadcasters for the next ICC media rights are reportedly supportive of this proposal.
