During the Friday prayers at Al-Masjid al-Haram in Makkah, a concerning incident unfolded as Sheikh Mahir al-Mu’aiqli, the esteemed Imam-e-Kaaba, exhibited signs of fatigue and a decline in health. As he concluded the khutba, the religious sermon, and proceeded to lead the congregation in prayer, his well-being began to falter.
The swift response
Reports from various media sources indicate that Sheikh Mahir al-Mu’aiqli initiated the prayer by reciting Surah Al-Fatiha, the opening chapter of the Quran. However, his health took a sudden downturn, preventing him from completing the recitation.
