PTI Chairman Imran Khan is likely to make a comeback to the National Assembly, this time as the opposition leader.
Resignations of PTI MNAs
The Lahore High Court (LHC) has invalidated the notification issued by the Speaker of the National Assembly (NA) and the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), which accepted the resignation of 72 PTI MNAs. Consequently, the court has ordered the parliament members to withdraw their resignations by personally appearing before the Speaker.
Earlier today, Barrister Ali Zafar of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) announced during a media interaction that Imran Khan would return to the National Assembly as the opposition leader. This development marks a significant turn of events in the political landscape of Pakistan, with Khan assuming a prominent role in holding the government accountable.
