Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan’s legal worries intensified earlier today after an anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Punjab denied his bail plea. The plea was previously submitted by Khan’s lawyer Babar Awan to grant him an exemption from making a personal appearance in front of the court.
Is Imran Khan’s arrest on the cards?
On Wednesday, Islamabad’s anti-terrorism court (ATC) rejected Imran Khan’s bail plea after a case was registered against him regarding the protest outside the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP). The case was registered last year in October after the Toshakhana verdict was announced by ECP sparking massive protests nationwide.

In the case, earlier today, Judge Raja Jawed Abbas Hassan after waiting for Imran Khan announced the verdict. However, the PTI Chief can still go to the Islamabad High Court (IHC) to challenge the decision.
