India has reportedly declined to send its cricket team to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy in 2025, citing security concerns. According to Indian media reports shared by Geo News, the Indian government has advised that the matches involving the Indian team be relocated to Dubai instead of Pakistan’s original venue, Lahore.

However, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has clarified that no formal notification has been received from India’s Board of Control for Cricket (BCCI). “If they have concerns, they should submit them in writing,” Naqvi stated, adding that PCB has not engaged in any discussion about a hybrid model.

Naqvi emphasized the importance of keeping sports separate from politics and confirmed that PCB will continue with Champions Trophy preparations. He assured me that if an official notice is received, he will consult with the government for the next steps. Naqvi also celebrated Pakistan’s recent cricket achievements, expressing hope for continued success.
