The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has written to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), proposing that Team India return to either Delhi or Chandigarh after each match to address security concerns during any potential stay in Pakistan, according to recent reports.
This suggestion comes as a solution to India’s hesitation regarding their team’s safety in Pakistan, especially for any matches held there. By allowing the Indian team to return to familiar locations like Delhi or Chandigarh after each game, the PCB aims to alleviate security worries while ensuring smooth participation in scheduled matches.
Security has been a significant point of discussion between both cricket boards, particularly during tournaments or series involving travel to Pakistan. The PCB’s proposal appears to be a compromise, addressing India’s concerns without affecting the tournament’s progress.
