A video capturing a disturbing incident has taken the internet by storm, shedding light on the alleged “corporate culture” prevailing in Gurugram, India. In the video, employees of the city-based ed-tech firm Coding Ninjas can be seen being locked inside the office premises, forbidden from leaving without permission.

The video, initially shared by an employee of the company, quickly went viral on various social media platforms. It shows a watchman securing the entrance door with chains, claiming that a manager had instructed him to prevent employees from leaving without authorization.

The incident has raised serious concerns about the work environment and employee rights within the company. Locking employees inside the office without their consent clearly violates fundamental human rights and safety protocols.
Official response from Coding Ninjas
Taking to Twitter, Coding Ninjas officially responded to the incident and said it was an isolated incident and the management is taking disciplinary action against the employee concerned.

“We want to clarify that the incident that recently occurred in one of our offices was due to a regrettable action by an employee. It was immediately rectified within minutes, and the employee acknowledged his mistake and apologized for the inconvenience caused”…
“Over the last 7 years, we have built this company with love and a deep passion to solve India’s skill gap, and it is unfortunate to see this incident unfold. We regret the inconvenience this incident has caused to all concerned”, the company wrote on Twitter.
