Social Blackout: Instagram Experienced Global Outage Last Night, Got Restored Hours Later

On Wednesday night, Instagram experienced an outage that left thousands of users worldwide unable to access the popular social media platform. The outage lasted for several hours, and users reported difficulties logging in, accessing their feeds, and posting content.

As per the outage tracking system Downdetector, about 46,000 users in the United States (US) reported issues with the photo-sharing app. Moreover, nearly 2,000 users were affected in the United Kingdom (UK) and more than 1,000 users each from Australia and India.

However, several hours later, the issue had not been resolved, leaving frustrated users to turn to other social media platforms to voice their concerns.
