In a significant development, the caretaker government has implemented a substantial surge in the prices of petrol and high-speed diesel (HSD) by Rs14.91 and Rs18.44 per liter respectively.
The new prices
Following this adjustment, the cost of petrol now stands at Rs305.36 per liter, while HSD is priced at Rs311.84 per liter. The Ministry of Finance communicated this price alteration through a post on the X platform (formerly known as Twitter) after midnight.

Notably, the revised rates did not extend to kerosene or light diesel oil, as no changes were specified for these commodities.
