Fiverr, the world’s top freelancing platform, has temporarily disabled the gigs of many Pakistani freelancers due to ongoing internet outages in the country. On Tuesday, Pakistani users shared screenshots of notifications from Fiverr, informing them that their gigs had been paused to prevent disruptions in their work.
In the message, Fiverr stated, “We understand that internet services in your area have been disrupted, making it difficult for you to continue your activities. To protect your ratings, we have temporarily disabled your gigs.”
This decision has sparked concern among Pakistani freelancers who rely on Fiverr for their income. Many took to social media to express frustration, highlighting the impact of unreliable internet on their work and earnings. Despite Fiverr’s assurance that this move is temporary, freelancers worry about the long-term effects on their reputation and opportunities.
