Here’s the official tweet regarding the matter
This couple has been sentenced to 10.5 of prison for this public dance in the Azadi Sq in Tehran. It’s hard to believe how little moments of joy are being so violently crushed by IR. Reportedly, Haghighi wasn’t wearing a headscarf during the video shoot and the duo has been sentenced to 10 years and six months each in prison by the Iranian court. As per Iranian law, women are not allowed to dance in public and are to keep their heads covered at all times.
