Source: Al-Monitor

Iran’s Revolutionary Guards launched a missile attack on Israel, firing 200 missiles in retaliation for the recent killings of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah and Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh. This attack highlights escalating tensions in the region, with Iran’s chief of staff threatening to target Israeli infrastructure if provoked further.

In response, U.S. President Joe Biden stated that the United States is prepared to assist Israel in defending itself against these missile attacks. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu condemned the attack, asserting that Iran made a significant mistake and would face consequences.

Meanwhile, Palestinians in the Gaza Strip celebrated the Iranian strikes, viewing them as a response to Israel’s ongoing military actions. Hamas praised the attacks as “heroic” and linked them to the broader resistance against Israeli occupation.
