Who doesn’t know about Christopher Nolan, right? The globally acclaimed British-American filmmaker has created some masterpieces which literally blew many audiences away. However, it seems like there was one brilliant actor who managed to impress Nolan with his acting skills.
Irrfan Khan goes with The Lunchbox and D-Day
According to the details, Bollywood’s famous actor (late) Irrfan Khan was once approached by Christopher Nolan with an important role offer for his then-coming movie Interstellar. Apparently, due to his busy schedule and unexpected restrictions, the actor turned it down to work in The LunchboxandD-Day – movies that were already under production at that time.
Irrfan Khan spilled the details while speaking to an Indian publication back in 2014. He stated, “They expected a huge commitment from my end. I had to stay in the US for four months at a stretch. I tried to work out my schedule and suggested if I could shuttle between India and the US as it wouldn’t have been possible for me to be there for that long.”
He further added,“I wanted to be here for The Lunchbox and D-Day. They couldn’t allow that. I don’t have a tendency to regret what I do, but knowing it’s a Christopher Nolan film, I can say that this has been one of the most difficult decisions I’ve made.”
Well, it wouldn’t have been easy for Irrfan Khan but it seems like he made the right call.
Irrfan Khan had worked in several successful Hollywood movies like Life of Pi and Jurassic World. He passed away on April 29th, 2020 due to a colorectal infection.
