On Friday, another earthquake of 4.2 magnitudes hit Islamabad and the surrounding areas, causing panic among the residents. There have been no reports of any casualties or severe damage to property so far.
NSMC reveals details about the earthquake
According to the National Seismic Monitoring Centre (NSMC), the epicenter of the earthquake was located near the Margalla Hills. The tremors were felt at around 6 am which terrified the citizens and forced them to rush to the streets while reciting Kalma-e-Tayyaba.
Unfortunately, earthquakes are not uncommon in Pakistan, as the country is located in a seismically active zone. It is essential for the residents to be aware of the safety measures to be taken during an earthquake.

The government must also take necessary steps to ensure that buildings and infrastructure are constructed to withstand earthquakes and to prevent loss of life and property.
