Israel has sharply criticized UN Secretary-General António Guterres for his comments regarding the need to halt the conflict with Iran. In a social media post, Israel stated, “We condemn your inability to string together a tweet which holds Iran responsible for firing 181 ballistic missiles at 10 million Israeli civilians.” The criticism reflects Israel’s frustration over what it sees as a failure to condemn Iran’s aggressive actions.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu weighed in, warning that Iran would face consequences for its attack. He remarked, “Iran made a big mistake tonight, and it will pay for it.” In his statement, Netanyahu expressed condolences for the families of victims of a recent terrorist attack in Jaffa, linking it to Iranian influence.
