Isr@eli soldiers have destroyed a historic mosque and burned pages of the Holy Quran in G@za, sparking outrage across the Arab and Muslim world.
Footage aired by Al Jazeera Arabic shows Isr@eli forces ripping up and burning pages of the Quran at the Bani Saleh Mosque in northern G@za. The same channel also released drone footage of the bombing of the Grand Mosque in Khan Younis.
In response, Hamas urged Arab and Muslim countries to condemn these actions. “This destruction and desecration show the extremist nature of this entity and its hate-filled actions”, H@mas stated. The group called on the international community to defend Muslim and Christian holy sites and halt what it described as a “war of extermination” against G@za.

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) also condemned the attacks, stating that Isr@el’s actions represent a war on Islam itself. They called on President Joe Biden to denounce these abuses and halt weapon transfers to Isr@el.
Despite the ongoing violence, P@lestinians in G@za continue to hold communal prayers at the ruins of destroyed mosques, facing attacks during their gatherings.
