Tragedy struck the Tareen family as Alamgir Tareen, brother of Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) chief Jahangir Tareen, allegedly took his own life by shooting himself in the head. This shocking incident occurred at Alamgir’s residence in Lahore’s Gulberg area, according to police sources, which were later confirmed by Jahangir himself.
Alamgir Tareen’s ‘undisclosed’ illness
A handwritten suicide note was discovered by the police, in which Alamgir cited an undisclosed illness as the reason behind his extreme step. Surprisingly, his friends claim that he never mentioned any such ailment to them before. The family revealed that despite being single, Alamgir had plans to get married to his fiance later this year in December.
The tragic sequence of events unfolded when Alamgir’s servant arrived for duty and noticed his absence from his room until 10 am. Concerned, the servant peered through a window only to discover the lifeless body of the businessman drenched in blood. Immediately, the servant informed Jahangir about the distressing incident.

The Tareen family is left grieving and grappling with the sudden loss of their loved one, while authorities investigate the circumstances surrounding this tragic incident.
