Actress-turned-politician Kangana Ranaut, recently elected as a BJP MP, was slapped by a female security guard at Chandigarh airport on Thursday. Ranaut was en route to New Delhi following her victory in the Lok Sabha elections from Himachal Pradesh’s Mandi constituency.
The CISF constable who slapped the actress was identified as Kulwinder Kaur and has been suspended, and an FIR was also registered against her. The CISF has also filed a complaint with local police. According to reports, the incident occurred when Ranaut headed to the boarding gate after a security check.
While the exact reason for the altercation remains unclear, it is believed that Kaur was upset with Ranaut’s previous comments regarding the farmers’ protest in India. Kaur claimed that Ranaut made derogatory statements about Punjabi women during the protests.

In response to the incident, Ranaut shared her perspective on Instagram, suggesting that Kaur’s actions were influenced by a desire to gain attention and align with political movements in Punjab. Ranaut also assured her followers that she was safe.
