According to Forbes Advisor’s latest safety rankings, Karachi has been identified as the second most dangerous city for tourists. The report evaluated 60 global destinations based on seven critical risk factors, including crime, personal safety, health, infrastructure, natural disasters, and digital security.
Karachi, with a safety score of 93.12, faces significant challenges including political instability, high crime rates, and insufficient health and infrastructure services. These issues contribute to its high-risk status, making the city particularly vulnerable to street crimes and terrorism-related incidents.
Yangon, Lagos, Dhaka, Bogota, Cairo, Mexico City, and Quito are among the cities deemed high-risk destinations, while Singapore has been lauded as the safest city for tourists, boasting a flawless safety score of 0.
