Karachi Sessions Court Rejects Karsaz Accident Driver’s Bail Again In Drug Case

A sessions court in Karachi has once again rejected the post-arrest bail application of Natasha Danish, the driver involved in the Karsaz accident case. The ruling was delivered by Additional District and Sessions Judge (East), Shahid Ali Memon, on Friday, after the verdict was reserved earlier.

The incident in question occurred when a Toyota Land Cruiser, driven by Natasha, collided with a motorcycle, seriously injuring Imran Arif and his daughter Amna Arif. Tragically, both victims later succumbed to their injuries. Following the accident, Natasha was arrested and charged with multiple offenses, including drug-related charges.

On September 6, Natasha was granted bail in the murder case after the victims’ family chose to pardon her, stating that the accident was not intentional. “We forgive her in the name of Allah, who is the Most Merciful and Compassionate”, the family said in an affidavit. They also expressed no objection to her being granted bail, citing that the incident was not committed on purpose.

However, the court dismissed her bail plea in the drug-related case. Natasha remains in custody, with charges stemming from both the fatal accident and alleged drug violations. The case continues to garner public attention.
