Khadijah Omar made history in September as the first Hijabi woman crowned Miss Universe Somalia 2024, paving the way for her to represent Somalia on the global stage at the 73rd Miss Universe competition. At 23, Omar has competed in other beauty pageants, previously holding the title of Miss World Somalia in 2021. Earlier this year, she also placed as 3rd runner-up in Miss Universe Canada 2024, winning the Miss Photogenic title.
Omar, a beauty influencer and model, shared her excitement on Instagram, expressing gratitude for the overwhelming support from fans. “I am honored to represent Somalia and can’t wait to take you all along on this amazing journey,” she posted, hoping her story will inspire others to pursue their dreams.
