Desperate For A Son, Man Kills Newborn Twin Daughters & Buries Them Near Delhi Home

Source: Times Now

In a tragic case, a 32-year-old man, Neeraj Solanki, has been arrested for allegedly killing his three-day-old twin daughters and burying them near his home in Sultanpuri, outer Delhi. Driven by a desperate desire for a son, Solanki committed the crime on June 3, according to police.

Locals discovered the bodies of the infants at a makeshift crematorium near Pooth Kalan village. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) Amit Goel stated that the infants’ bodies were exhumed on June 5 with court permission and sent to SGM Hospital in Mangolpuri for postmortem.

Solanki, a Delhi University graduate, was apprehended in Rohtak, Haryana. He had initially evaded capture, leading to the temporary detention of his father. Solanki’s father disclosed that his son was deeply upset over having daughters. Solanki’s sister and brother remain at large, while his paralyzed mother may also face questioning.

The infants’ mother, originally from Rohtak, reported persistent harassment over dowry and resistance to sex determination tests by Solanki’s family. Solanki misled his wife, claiming the babies had died of illness, and brought them to Delhi, where he ultimately killed and buried them.

The exact cause of death remains undetermined, but investigators suspect the infants were not fed, leading to their deaths. Solanki has been charged with murder, and the infants’ bodies have been returned to their mother after postmortem.
