Two doctors and three others, including Matthew Perry’s personal assistant, have been charged in connection with the actor’s death from a ketamine overdose. Authorities announced the charges on Thursday, revealing a network involved in supplying the powerful sedative to Perry.

The defendants in the case are Jasveen Sangha, 41, also known as the “Ketamine Queen,” and Dr. Salvador Plasencia, 42. Sangha is accused of selling ketamine from her residence in North Hollywood. Plasencia is alleged to have distributed the drug to Perry and his assistant, Kenneth Iwamasa, 59. Iwamasa, who lived with Perry, has admitted to injecting the actor with ketamine, including on the day of his death.

According to officials, the defendants sold about 20 vials of ketamine to Perry for $55,000 between September and October 2023. Perry, who had struggled with addiction, died from ketamine effects compounded by other factors, including drowning in his hot tub. The investigation also uncovered texts revealing financial transactions for the drug.
