The current Pakistan cricket team captain Babar Azam has been under hot waters since his team lost against England in the World Cup final last year. Critics have been pointing out that Azam is overwhelmed by the pressure of captaincy which is why he is also facing difficulty in staying consistent on the pitch.
Keeping every aspect in mind, Mickey Arthur, who is currently ‘seeking time’ to decide on Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB)’s head coach offer has provided an easy way out. Reportedly, Mickey Arthur has asked PCB that it should appoint three different captains for all three formats.

As per the official details, Mickey Arthur has suggested that Babar Azam should stay as T20I captain, Shan Masood should be appointed ODI captain and Sarfaraz Ahmed as Test captain. PCB has not provided any comment on it but is likely to consider the proposal.
Earlier, Shan Masood was named vice-captain for Pakistan vs New Zealand’s three-match ODI series happening in Karachi. Plus, PCB is also considering appointing former Pakistani cricketer Umar Gul as the bowling coach.
