Since the ouster of former Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Ramiz Raja, news of Mohammad Amir returning to international cricket is surfacing on the internet. Earlier today, the current PCB Chairman Najam Sethi has finally given the green signal to the bowler on his potential return to the team.
Najam Sethi hints at bringing Mohammad Amir back
According to the official details, Najam Sethi, while addressing a conference said that he won’t stop Mohammad Amir if he wants to make a comeback. “Mohammad Amir can play international cricket for Pakistan if he takes his retirement back. I always took a strong stance against match-fixing. I believe no convicted player should be spared, but at the same time, a player should be allowed to resume international cricket once he has completed his years of penalty“, he added.
Responding to a question regarding the bowler’s opinion on the matter, Sethi said, “Mohammad Amir thinks he is not dealt fairly by the previous regime of PCB, including the selection committee and chairman Ramiz Raja.”

Najam Sethi’s views on Ramiz Raja’s leadership
Elaborating his stance further, he stated, “Ramiz Raja thinks whoever has committed corruption in cricket should never be allowed to play for Pakistan again. This is not my view! I believe someone who has paid the penalty should be allowed to make a comeback for Pakistan.”
Well, it seems like Najam Sethi has a completely different approach than former PCB Chairman Ramiz Raja and he won’t hold back from taking the hard decision when it comes to cricket.
