Recently, during a Pakistan Super League (PSL) 9 match, an incident happened where the families of Quetta Gladiators’ players Mohammad Amir and Umar Amin, along with team director Moin Khan, were mistreated and forcibly removed from the VIP box at the Multan Cricket Stadium.

The incident, as expected, caused quite a stir among the Quetta Gladiators’ members and spectators. However, the situation was then resolved with the intervention of the recently elected CM of Punjab Maryam Nawaz.
Soon after the mistreatment, Mohammad Amir called for action and denounced the abuse of power by Multan’s deputy commissioner. However, after the CM reportedly addressed the situation, the pacer expressed gratitude to her and mentioned that the Deputy Commissioner of Multan had cleared all misunderstandings.

This unfortunate incident highlights the need for proper protocols and guidelines to ensure the safety and well-being of players and their families during such high-profile events. The franchise management claimed the families were asked to leave as the VIP Box belonged to the district administration.
