On Thursday, Pakistan delivered a commanding performance in the second ODI, defeating South Africa by 81 runs and sealing the three-match series with an unassailable 2-0 lead.

Winning the toss and opting to bat first, Pakistan posted an imposing total of 329 runs. Key contributions came from Muhammad Rizwan (80 off 75 balls), Babar Azam (73 off 85 balls), and Kamran Ghulam (63 off 58 balls), showcasing the depth and strength of the batting lineup. Their collective effort ensured a challenging target for the Proteas.

In their chase, South Africa faltered despite a fighting effort from Heinrich Klaasen, who scored a valiant 97 runs. However, with little support from the other batsmen, South Africa were bowled out for 248 runs.

Pakistan’s bowling attack was ruthless, led by Shaheen Shah Afridi, who took 4 wickets, while Naseem Shah contributed with 3 wickets and Abrar Ahmed chipped in with 2. Their disciplined and aggressive bowling dismantled South Africa’s batting order and ensured a comprehensive victory.
