In a major development, today, National Assembly (NA) speaker Raja Pervaiz Ashraf has accepted the resignations of 35 MNAs associated with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). The approved list includes names of senior party leaders like Asad Umar, Pervaiz Khattak and Sheikh Rashid Ahmed.

According to the acquired details, a total of 123 PTI officials resigned together back in April last year after former Prime Minister Imran Khan was ousted from his office via propaganda.

It must be noted that the recent decision was taken after PTI Chairman Imran Khan hinted at his return to the National Assembly to consult with the treasury benches regarding the deployment of the interim set-up after the lower house of the parliament gets dissolved.

In response to the latest development, PTI’s senior leader Fawad Chaudhary sarcastically thanked the speaker on Twitter for accepting 35 resignations and hopes that the Supreme Court will give the final verdict in their favor.

For 8 months the Speaker has been saying he can’t accept the resignations collectively and each MNA has to come in individually. Imran Khan thinks of re-entering the National Assembly to seek a vote of no confidence against SS. With in minutes there’s a mass acceptance 😂😂😂
