Pakistan’s fresh jerseys for the Asia Cup 2023 are generating buzz across social media platforms. The jerseys, adorned by players in matches, brought attention to a distinctive feature – the absence of the host country’s name beneath the Asia Cup logo.
PCB clears the air
Addressing this curiosity, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) provided clarification on the matter. According to PCB sources, the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) had collectively decided to omit the host country’s name from the Asia Cup shirts.
This decision mirrors the approach taken during the previous Asia Cup event. Furthermore, it was unanimously agreed within the ACC to abstain from including the year alongside the host country’s name on the jerseys.

The rationale behind these choices remains rooted in a desire for uniformity and neutrality across the participating nations, highlighting a collaborative approach to cricket tournaments that transcends individual host identities and years.
