“No Power On Earth Can Affect Pak-Iran Historic Ties”: Says Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi

Iranian President Dr. Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi, during his three-day official visit to Pakistan, emphasized that no power in the world can disrupt the solid bilateral relations between Islamabad and Tehran. During his visit to Karachi, the Iranian president praised the interconnectedness of history, culture and religion between the two neighboring states, adding that Pakistan-Iran ties are historic.

Regarding the Iranian President’s visit, the US State Department has warned against the potential risk of sanctions in light of the business deals between Pakistan and Iran. Despite this, President Raisi’s visit was welcomed with open arms by Pakistani officials and citizens alike.

During his engagements in Islamabad, Lahore and Karachi, the Iranian president met with various officials, including Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori and Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah. They discussed various issues of mutual interest and agreed to increase cultural exchanges between the two countries.

Sindh Governor Tessori conferred an honorary degree in philosophy (PhD) to the Iranian president in recognition of his services to further bolstering ties between the two nations. The governor invited the Iranian business community to invest in Pakistan and take advantage of the favorable and business-friendly environment in the country.
