Noman Ali, Pakistan’s left-arm spinner, has been named the ICC Men’s Player of the Month for October 2024. This recognition comes as a result of his exceptional performance in the recent Test series against England. The 38-year-old spinner was instrumental in Pakistan’s success, taking an impressive 20 wickets at an average of 13.85 during the second and third Tests held in Multan and Rawalpindi.
Noman’s best moment came in the second Test when he took 8/46, helping Pakistan defend a 297-run target and securing their first home Test win since 2021. He continued to shine in the third Test, scoring a vital 45 runs at No.9, giving Pakistan a crucial 77-run lead in the first innings. Noman’s efforts with the bat were followed by a game-winning six-wicket haul, dismissing England for just 112 and leading Pakistan to a nine-wicket victory.

Noman was selected for the award over South Africa’s Kagiso Rabada and New Zealand’s Mitchell Santner. Expressing gratitude, he thanked his teammates for supporting him in delivering his best for Pakistan in a historic series.
