PAK vs ENG: Sajid Khan Breaks 24-Year-Old Test Record Held by Saqlain Mushtaq

Pakistan off-spinner Sajid Khan made history in the second Test against England at the Multan Cricket Stadium, breaking a 24-year-old record previously held by legendary spinner Saqlain Mushtaq. Sajid took an impressive seven wickets, leading Pakistan to dismiss England for 291 on day three of the match.

The 31-year-old spinner achieved figures of 7-111 in 26.2 overs, marking his second five-wicket haul. This performance made him the first Pakistani off-spinner to take five or more wickets in a home Test match since Saqlain Mushtaq’s feat in 2000.

England resumed their innings at 239-6 but could only add nine runs before Sajid dismissed Brydon Carse. Sajid continued his dominant spell, removing Matthew Potts and wrapping up the innings with the dismissal of Shoaib Bashir.

Left-arm spinner Noman Ali also contributed by taking three wickets for 101 runs. With this remarkable performance, Pakistan took a strong position in the match, trailing England’s first innings by just 75 runs.
