Pakistan Partners With China To Launch Its First Mission To The Moon In 2024

Pakistan is set to make history in space exploration as it will soon embark on its first-ever mission to the far side of the moon in May 2024. The mission is a collaboration between the Institute of Space Technology (IST) and the Pakistan Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO), in partnership with China’s Chang’e 6 mission.

Pakistan joins the space race

The lunar exploration mission will mark a significant milestone for Pakistan’s space program which has been rapidly expanding in recent years. The IST and SUPARCO have jointly developed and designed a lunar Cubesat named ICUBE-Q which will be launched alongside China’s Chang’e 6 mission.

The ICUBE-Q is a small satellite that will study the lunar environment. It will also carry out experiments on the far side of the moon. The mission is expected to provide valuable data and insights into the moon’s geology, mineralogy and other scientific aspects.

Pakistan’s collaboration with China in space exploration is part of a broader partnership between the two countries. China has been a key ally of Pakistan in various sectors, including defense, infrastructure and technology.
