Following Pakistan’s resounding 228-run defeat to arch-rivals India in the Asia Cup, head coach Grant Bradburn has described the loss as a “timely reminder” for the team to regroup and prepare ahead of next month’s World Cup in India.

In the rain-affected Super Four clash, India posted an imposing total of 356-2 in Colombo before bowling out Pakistan for a mere 128 runs in 32 overs, securing their largest-ever victory margin over their rivals in One Day Internationals.
Bradburn acknowledged the significance of this defeat, emphasizing the importance of learning from it. He stated, “My gut feeling is that we are grateful for the gift that has been these last two days. We don’t get to play some of the best players in the world very often.”
