Pakistan & Iran Unite in Condemnation, Call For Cease To Israeli Atrocities In Gaza

Pakistan and Iran have joined forces in urging the international community to step up efforts and end the Israeli blockade on Gaza. The two nations, led by President Asif Ali Zardari of Pakistan and visiting Iranian President Dr. Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi, emphasized the need for increased humanitarian aid to alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people.

The official meeting at the Aiwan-e-Sadr presidential palace focused heavily on critical regional and global issues, particularly the ongoing crisis in the Middle East. Pakistan’s President Asif Ali Zardari expressed deep concern over the deteriorating humanitarian situation in Gaza, condemning Israel’s military actions that have resulted in the tragic loss of innocent Palestinian lives.

President Zardari reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering support for the Palestinian cause while Iran’s President Ebrahim Raisi expressed his appreciation for this longstanding solidarity during Gaza’s current crisis.

Beyond the immediate crisis, the leaders explored avenues for strengthening cooperation on various fronts. They emphasized the importance of operationalizing existing bilateral trade mechanisms to achieve a tenfold increase in trade volume, reaching a target of $10 billion.

The deep historical and cultural bonds between Pakistan and Iran were highlighted with President Zardari calling for further strengthening these ties for mutual benefit. He also expressed gratitude to President Raisi for being the first Head of State to visit Pakistan after the recent general elections, underscoring the strong commitment between the two nations.
