Today, the solemn tenth day of the first Islamic month, Muharram is being observed across the country as mourners gather in processions to pay homage and grieve the supreme sacrifice made by Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) family during the tragic events of Karbala.

Ashura serves as a poignant reminder of the unwavering resilience displayed by Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA), the beloved grandson of the Prophet (PBUH), his family, and loyal companions, who bravely defended Islam in the face of extreme opposition and cruelty.

To ensure the safety of the mourners during the processions, elaborate security arrangements were made across the nation.

Additionally, as a precautionary measure, mobile signals are temporarily suspended in several cities as per the interior ministry’s directives to the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA).
