In a recent report by Henley & Partners, a global citizenship and residence advisory company, Pakistan has been ranked as the nation with the fourth-worst passport in the world. This ranking is based on an index that assesses the number of destinations accessible to residents without requiring a prior visa.
100th out of 227 countries
With a population exceeding 220 million, Pakistan finds itself at the 100th position among the 227 countries evaluated in the index. The limited number of visa-free travel options available to Pakistani passport holders contributes to its lower ranking on the global scale.

The report further shows that until January 2023, Pakistan had access to 35 countries with an on-arrival visa facility but now the number has come down to 33. While this news may be disappointing for Pakistani citizens who wish to explore the world, it is important to note that a passport’s ranking should not solely define a nation’s potential or its people.
