Pakistan’s squash team has secured a thrilling victory over arch-rivals India in the Asian Team Squash Championship quarterfinals. With a final score of 2-1, Pakistan secured their spot in the semi-finals, set to take place tomorrow.
The match, held in Dalian, China, saw Pakistan take an early lead thanks to a dominant performance by Asim Khan. Khan secured a clean 3-0 victory against India’s Rahul Baitha.
However, India managed to even the score with Velavan Senthilkumar’s 3-0 win over Nasir Iqbal, who was reportedly battling a fever and unable to perform at his best.
Pakistan refused to be deterred. Stepping up in a crucial moment, Noor Zaman delivered a flawless performance, defeating Suraj Kumar Chand 3-0 and securing the winning point for his team.
