Pakistan Seeks Stronger AI Collaboration with China, Says PM Shehbaz Sharif

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced on Monday that Pakistan plans to strengthen its partnership with China in key economic areas, including agriculture and Artificial Intelligence (AI). The announcement came during a meeting in Islamabad with the Chinese ambassador, Jiang Zaidong.

PM Sharif emphasized the importance of the Pak-China friendship, stating, “Our partnership is vital not only for our countries but also for regional and global peace and development.” He outlined Pakistan’s desire to increase cooperation with China in areas such as information technology, AI, and modern agriculture.

The prime minister praised China’s consistent support for Pakistan during difficult times and lauded the Chinese leadership’s vision for enhancing strategic relations. He highlighted the ongoing efforts to upgrade the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

Deputy Prime Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Tariq Fatemi, and other officials were also present at the meeting. The discussions follow the prime minister’s visit to China in June, where talks focused on advancing CPEC and setting up industrial zones.
