Ali Shekhani, a candidate of Pakistani descent, has won the position of constable in Fort Bend County, Texas, USA. Shekhani received 39,936 votes, successfully defeating another candidate of Pakistani origin, Nabil Shaikh.

Born in Karachi, Shekhani moved to the United States, where he pursued a career as a police officer in Texas before entering the business world. In 2012, he founded the Shekhani Group, a business that began in Texas and later expanded operations to Pakistan.
