A team of highly qualified eye specialists from Pakistan’s largest free eye care network, Layton Rahmatulla Benevolent Trust (LRBT), has achieved a significant milestone in the field of healthcare.
In the last week of May 2023, they conducted 400 sight restoration surgeries, bringing hope and renewed vision to the people of Chad, Central Africa. This commendable initiative took place in N’Djamena, the capital city of Chad, where the team also organized free eye camps.

The eye surgery program was made possible through the collaborative efforts of COMSTECH, the OIC’s Ministerial Standing Committee on Scientific and Technological Cooperation, the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB), and LRBT. This partnership exemplifies the spirit of international cooperation and solidarity in addressing pressing healthcare needs.
The team of eye specialists from LRBT, equipped with their expertise and state-of-the-art medical facilities, demonstrated their dedication to serving humanity.
