A prominent cleric of Indonesian descent, Sheikh Assim Al-Hakeem, recently praised the people of Pakistan for their gratitude and strong belief in Allah. In a viral clip, the Sheikh talked about his experience visiting Pakistan, where he was impressed by the warmth and generosity of the people, particularly the poor.

Sheikh Assim Al-Hakeem, deeply moved by the resilience of the Pakistanis he visited, stated that despite living in tents or small houses, they still welcomed him with love and offered him whatever they had. He emphasized that the level of Tawakal or reliance on Allah, among the Pakistani people is high.

This is not the first time foreigners have praised the generosity and gratefulness of the Pakistani people. The Sheikh’s statement has been widely shared on social media with many expressing their pride in their country’s hospitality and strong belief in Allah.
However, some have also pointed out that Sheikh Assim Al-Hakeem’s statement only applies to Pakistanis of the poor class. While others are suggesting that the Sheikh should live in Pakistan for a year to understand the country and its people better.
