Pakistani PhD Scholar Awais Ahmad Ranked Among World’s Top 2% Scientists

Pakistani PhD scholar Awais Ahmad has made his country proud by being listed among the world’s top 2% of scientists in the fields of material science and chemistry. This is the first time a Pakistani has achieved this distinction while pursuing a PhD, and it is Ahmad’s second consecutive year on the prestigious list.

In 2021, Ahmad received the Young Scientist Award from the Saudi Chemical Society, and he now ranks 10th in the AD SCIENTIFIC Index 2023. As the youngest scientist in Europe in chemistry, Ahmad has delivered talks at over 15 universities in Pakistan.

He has published over 150 research articles in high-impact journals, with a cumulative impact factor of more than 1600, and has edited over seven international scientific books. Currently serving as a Lecturer in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Lahore, Awais Ahmad’s accomplishments have earned him significant national and global recognition, setting a new benchmark for young scientists in Pakistan.
